The Crawl

Listen carefully, you are not alone. They like to play with their food; they enjoy the hunt, but their hunger grows. Their patience will eventually run out. Keep crawling and get out before they decide that they are done playing games and ready to feast.

The Crawl is a short sound-based horror rouge-like. Venture trough a procedurally generated ventilation shaft with multiple regions. Each run you'll encounter different regions and gain different perks. Endure the crawl and survive the monsters that call this place their home.

For an extra challenge try to see how far you can make it in endless, or take on hardcore mode, where even the slightest mistake can end your run.

This game heavily relies on auditory clues, so headphones are almost necessary.

This game is on the shorter end with a singular run/crawl on normal difficulty taking about 30 minutes to complete. You will however most likely have at least a few crawls that end in death before managing to escape.

This game is pretty difficult. You will need to be able to distinguish the monsters' sounds from the sounds of the environment, which might take a bit to learn. Although the game is difficult it is still consistently beatable

We highly recommend playing the in-game tutorial to get a feel of the gameplay, along with getting to hear a small sample of what audio to listen out for (as requested by some of our play-testers).
